Hey There, I'm just here to write a neat little review about the new ipod nano 6th gen. I'm sure you're well aware that ipod nano's have been around for quite a bit of time and there seems to be all sorts of different people that own one. They are a super tool for taking a lot of music with you where ever you want and I personally couldn't live without one!
The ipod certainly revolutionized the way we think about portable music players. Much in the same way that the sony walkman did in the 1980's. All of a sudden it was possible to carry around entire albums worth of music in one device that fit in the palm of your hand. Even if the first one's were still pretty big! The idea of having all this music at your fingertips was just too enticing and the ipod quickly took off as the most popular music device on the planet.
Like I mentioned in the previous paragraph, the overall size of the unit was a little too big to make excersizing or anything with a lot of movement possible with the first ipods. But really it was only a question of when not if the ipod would end up as a smaller device
At first when it came time to size it down, we were offered the ipod mini which was a great advance in size at the time! It made using a clip or carrying the ipod in your pocket much more comfortable. As with a lot of people, my main use of my ipod is when working out so I can listen to music. The ipod mini made this much more enjoyable and as we all know, this was only the beginning. The next releases from Apple would be a whole generation of new, smaller, digital music players that would completely change the mp3 player market.
While there was the ipod mini, the first true, fully functional, small ipod was the Nano. A drastic size reduction from the mini it was so light you couldn't feel it in a coat pocket and wasn't obtrusive to carry in your hand while jogging or walking in workout clothes (most workout clothes don't have pockets!). This was great and I definitely bought one however I found that I did not like having the ipot strapped to my arm while jogging (uncomfortable) and carrying it in my hand meant that it was covered in sweat at the end of the work out.
So it's now the present day and where is the ipod nano? Quite simple really, they've just released the 6th generation and I'm quite sure that it is the best and most user friendly iPod nano yet! While the touch screen provides super easy navigation it also means that Apple were able to eliminate the controls that made the other nanos much bigger. They have also included a built in clip so that you don't have to worry about where you're going to put the nano while you're listening to music! Plus the weight of the unit is so low that you'll literally forget it's attached to your clothes!
Apple definitely hit the nail on the head with the iPod Nano 6th gen. As usual they have not only raised the bar but kicked it out of the park. I hope you enjoyed this article on the ipod nano 6th generation!
