A Variety Of The Greatest Acting Performances From The Incredibly Versatile Thespian, Edward Norton

By Patrick Murphy

Making a list of my favorite Edward Norton films is a very difficult task. The problem is, I truly have enjoyed almost every movie in which he has starred. Choosing my top five films of his will not be easy, but I am determined to do it.

Without further ado, here are my five favorite movies starring Edward Norton.

I will start this list out with one of the roles that put him on the map in the eyes of the public, and that of course, was Primal Fear. I do not want to give anything away about this movie for those of you who have yet to see it, but this is amazing movie worth seeing.

Another great Edward Norton film is The Illusionist. This movie had the peculiar misfortune of coming out right around the same time as The Prestige, which starred Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman and was directed by Christopher Nolan, and as a result was overshadowed.

No list of Edward Norton films would be complete without mentioning American History X. This is a tough film to watch, but definitely an important one to see. This is not recommended for viewing with a younger audience.

One film of Edward Norton's that you probably have not seen is Leaves Of Grass. This movie was released in 2009 and in a very Adaptation-esque style, features Norton playing a set of twins. One is a brilliant hillbilly drug dealer, while the other is your average Joe.

One film that I feel is definitely worth mentioning is Fight Club. This movie is in my top 10 favorites of all time, and as cool as Brad Pitt's character was, it was Norton's character made this movie what it is.

These are just some of Edward Norton's best films to date, but as the years go by I have no doubt that he will continue to churn out classic roles in his future endeavors.
