Party Bands Liven Up Your Party Or Wedding

By Lyndsey Seabrook

There are two constants across all cultures around the globe and through time, that is food and music. There are regional foods and regional music that exist as direct expressions of the people living in those areas. They are the ambassadors by which the rest of the world can learn about one another. Music is integral to our very existence and many adults can remember back to their awkward school dances and the songs that were playing for distinct moments and memories in their lives.

Music is also a trigger for memory and so when it comes to choosing a song for a couple's wedding day, it can be a large decision. You are essentially creating a memory that you want to carry forward to the rest of your life. So what sounds better - dancing to a recorded track off of some DJ's playlist, or swaying across the dancefloor the sound of real instruments and a live party band? The right choice is a party band.

Many people get DJs for their parties and occasions, but other than having playlists of music and a small sound system to play them out of, what is it that they do that a child couldn't accomplish?

Playlists and computers are fine and even great methods of birthday parties at house parties, and they are requisite at many nightclubs but if you bring some of this automation to something like a wedding it cheapens to affair.

Prestige is inherent in the musicians of a party band. You cannot go out and purchase a guitar right now with the hopes of learning it over the weekend. Musicians train for years in their craft and being an especially strong air of professionalism and pinache.

Some may say that DJs are the better choice, but it is nothing more than the sign of the times that we would prefer mediocrity and a modicum of talent that can be easily duplicated by ourselves.

Learning instruments and becoming proficient is a lifetime occupation and many musicians, unfortunately, are being cast aside in this technological age but nothing can replace the sound of life instrumentation. Weddings and similar occasions are the perfect venue for a party band.

Planning a wedding takes a lot of time and money, but as with any part of the event, your budget can find a worthy recipient. Bands can range from lower than one thousand dollars to up to three thousand, but those prices include all of the accompanying sound set up.

The worst band is better than the best DJ. DJ sounds are sterile next to the organic sounds of a party band that can anticipate what a crowd needs and adjust accordingly. The occasion of a wedding needs more attention to detail than something like a DJ can give.
